Most of them are industry leaders, equipped with solar panels, electric vehicles for all employees, and eco-optimized manufacturing processes.

All our partners are audited regularly to ensure fair working conditions and production standards that align with our values.
All employees in our production sites receive fair and equitable wages.
We do not employ children and we strongly condemn modern slavery.

CABAIA is also B Corp certified, an international label that evaluates companies on social performance, environmental impact, and transparency.

🇪🇺 Why not manufacture in the EU?

The industrial capability no longer exists:

Most of the textile and bag-manufacturing industry progressively disappeared from Western Europe decades ago.
Meanwhile, industrial know-how and large-scale production capacity developed in Asia and parts of Eastern Europe, where specialized manufacturers have been producing textiles for over 50 years.

As a result, they are now among the best in the world in this field.

In the EU, there are no factories capable of producing 400,000 backpacks per year at the level of quality and consistency we require.

Even after several trials with European manufacturers, the conclusion was simple:
to remain profitable, we would have had to sell a CABAIA backpack for around €800.

Cabaia is a French brand that designs, develops, and oversees its products in France, but manufactures abroad, where the expertise and production capacity we need are available.
